Fall is in the air
The leaves are changing to beautiful reds, yellows, and oranges. The air is turning crisp and cool. Days are starting to get a little bit shorter.
Fall is in the air.
I love making fall blends with essential oils. There’s just something so cozy about the spicy oils that just scream fall.
Today, I want to focus on one thing: inviting all of those delicious, fall aromas into your home with essential oils.
First, let’s talk about how to use essential oils to scent our homes. By far the easiest way is to add 3-5 drops of your favorite fall essential oil(s) to a diffuser and diffuse intermittently throughout the day. Don’t have a diffuser? No worries. You can add you're essential oils to a metal or glass spray bottle filled with distilled water and use it as a room spray also – just be sure to give the bottle a good shake prior to each use. You can also add a few drops of essential oils to a wax warmer and let the aroma fill your house that way too, just be sure the warmer doesn’t get too warm or it could destroy the therapeutic benefits of your precious oils.
So, what oils are great for fall? I’m glad you asked! Any of the spice oils, such as ginger, clove, cinnamon, and cassia are going to give you that great fall smell you’re after. Adding a drop or two of sweet orange to any of these spice oils will give you a delicious smell guaranteed to make your house smell great!
Get creative. Try out different oils and experiment with which ones you like best!
